Drawing has been
a passion of Brandon Zebold from his earliest years. As an inspired
form of communication and as a way to develop ideas, his drawings
have evolved into something akin to an elaborate score of music.
In an effort to capture the organic free associative tapestry
of drawings, Zebold began cutting them into or out of rugged
yet yielding steel. The process of rendering the steel drawings
became a springboard into sculpture. The drawings become sculpture
and the sculptural forms inspire drawings. It is this balance
between the boundless complexities of the dynamic abstracted
line and the exploration of form and its substantial presence
that is driving his work today. |
